Imagine the stories these temples could tell.

Cambodia is home to over 6,600 ancient temples and sites, some of which date back as far as the 6th century. Every one of these precious temples holds cultural value beyond measure.

Stepping into a Khmer temple provides a rare glimpse into one of the greatest ancient civilisations. They’ve been a vital part of Cambodian history for centuries but, without conservation, these historical treasures may be lost forever—never to be known by generations to come.

That’s why we are on a mission to preserve these ancient monuments and spread crucial knowledge of Khmer heritage and culture.

The Khmer Temple Foundation is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation providing a direct local source of funding for heritage conservation projects in Cambodia. It means Cambodian conservation workers can move fast with the support of our team of heritage professionals to save temples from ruin before it’s too late, instead of waiting on foreign aid.

The Foundation also provides training to local heritage workers to spread important knowledge and skills to undertake conservation work in the safest and most effective way.

Taking action now will mean the wonder of our majestic Khmer temples can live on into the future.
